January Reads Wrap Up

Hey Guys!
This is Angie and the Oh So Hormonal Stephanie here (S: 🤓🤗). Since we are at the end of the month we decided we would sum up our reads in one short post……kinda. Well hopefully short post. (Steph: It’s me we’re talking about so no, it most likely will not be a short post, teeehee 😇)

We will list Our books with our ratings. That’s it! I personally, think I had a good reading month (^^)> . Steph?

S: Nope😐, I actually pretty much lagged this month (opps). Maybe because I was busy stage managing a show so I only read snippets of each book buuuuuut I did get through some good reads so yay! (\^_^/)

A: LMAO , Ok so lets get started.

S: For me I only read the first three on my list. I’m currently reading Abandoned and Smut at the same time but the ratings I put are what I think of the book so far. I’m actually almost done with Smut so I should be posting a review on that soon. At least I hope soon, unless some acting thing comes up and I won’t be able to BUT otherwise I shall post it soon, I promise 😁. Then I shall finish reading Abandoned and post that review asap 🤓.

A: As for me I will be starting school soon so my reading will probably downside BUT I will keep a good amount and keep updating (^^). My review for Punk 57″ will be up soon cause it was a REALLY GOOD READ!!! and my girl here, Steph will definitely read this baby and she will LOVE IT! I know. trust me I KNOW!

S: Oh I will for sure love the book! I can already tell and I honestly can’t wait to read it!

S&A: Okay, so much for a short post. Sorry guys. This is our wrap up. Thanx for reading. Until next time (^^)/.

Steph 💖💖

Because of the long list of books that I got, I feel like sharing the many kinds of books I got from BookBub. I haven’t mentioned this but if you sign up, you choose the genres you are interested in and they send you the books that are temporarily discounted/free at the moment along with the link as to where you can get it (Amazon, B&N, iBooks, etc.). So if you notice that the genres I post are quite similar then don’t worry, that’s just what I’m into. If you sign up you can of course change it up. But I think as a book lover it’s a great thing to be signed up for.

I believe that because of BookBub I ended up signing up for something else where I entered a giveaway where authors would email me and give me opportunities to be on their ARC team. It’s pretty interesting although I do get like hundreds of emails because I’m on the mailing list of over 200 authors so yea haha. It’s great though, I love it, just a little hard to keep up with due to my schedule. Regardless, I still love it.

Anyway, here is the continuation to the last BookHaul post. I hope you all enjoy!

  1. Loyalty and Lies (Chastity Falls) by L.A. Cotton

Loyalty and Lies (Chastity Falls Book 1) by [Cotton, L A]Eighteen-year-old Savanah Parry just moved three-thousand miles across state to escape. The memories…the whispers…the pain.

Chastity Falls Academy is supposed to be her fresh start; her salvation. And when she meets mysterious Jackson, she begins to think it is. She hasn’t smiled in almost sixteen months; not since the night her life changed forever, and despite her guilt…her loyalty, Ana can’t deny that Jackson is breathing life back into her. With Jackson by her side, Ana wants to believe that she can heal and move on. But she isn’t the only one living a lie, and the small private Academy has secrets of its own. All is not what it seems, and Ana is about to find herself in a tangled web of lies; fighting for survival, again.

Loyalties will be tested, lies will be told. Welcome to Chastity Falls.

Oooooo the suspense! This seems like it’ll be entertaining and I honestly think it’s an ARC…well if it is then apologizes in advance. I really need to keep track on which one’s are ARCs haha cuz I have a long list apparently. It might be a while before I start reading this (who am I kidding it will be) but once I do I will post a review and let ya know muh thoughts.

 2. Fall With Me (#4), Forever With You (#5) (Wait for You Series) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

So I got both these books at different times thru this wonderful website that is bookbub and I haven’t started reading them because I prefer to read the first book, even if it’s a stand-alone series. Mainly because (even though I know the couple will eventually end up together) there is a mystery to each book on how the couple manage after their story and all that good stuff. I like to keep that sense of mystery. If I read a stand-alone series and read it out of order, I tend to not really ride the journey with the couple and the end result of the story isn’t as exciting.

I do hope to get on this series soon because I love reading books by Jennifer L. Armentrout. My favorite series of hers is actually the Covenant Series (I think it’s still called that), the first book being Half-Blood. I really wish this series becomes a movie because it’s amazing and so movie worthy and I just need to play Alex so bad! (my actress brain is anticipating for the day it is made into a move/tv series)

I’ll put the link for the 4th and 5th book as well as the 1st book in order down below that way you guys can check the series out:

3. Sasha’s Dilemma (Dilemma Series) by T.L. Smith

Sasha's Dilemma (The Dilemma Series Book 1) by [Smith, T.L]LOVE- it’s a common word that people take for granted. As for me, Sasha Adams, I have seen that love isn’t everything, though sometimes it’s meant to be. But to be honest, I never wanted it. That has been my plan for as long as I can remember. The only person I ever wanted to love is my sister Lola. But then I met not one no, not even two- but three beautiful men.

Dylan, the doctor, had his head screwed on tight. Josh, well, he was a tattooed sex machine playboy. Then there was Brax, the rock star. It was clear they all wanted my heart, but I wouldn’t give it to any of them willingly.

Unwillingly, I fell hard, but there was a part of me that knew he could destroy me. So I refused to give him all of me, and now he’s returned and determined to win me back. I just need to decide if love is worth the chance of destruction.

I’m bumping this series up on my list cuz hot damn🔥🔥. I really want to read this now haha. I actually love writing the book haul post because I look at all the books I’ve ignored/forgotten before and can actually say I have books to read now (even though I have  butt load on my list). But I really do enjoy writing this post because it makes me realize that I have a lot more interesting books in my library already and I don’t need to look far anymore.

I’m excited for this read because the suspense of who she will choose and who she’s talking about in the end truly intrigues me. And I just need to read to find out. So get it now if you’re just as curious as me cuz it’s free on ebook.

4. An Education in Royalty (Somerset Series) by Heather C. Myers

An Education in Royalty: A Somerset Novel (Somerset Series Book 1) by [Myers, Heather C.]He wants nothing more than to sink his teeth into her flesh… Ok, hold up the syn. (pun not intended but it’s oh so fitting😉) This sounds hot already and let me just say that the vampire lovey dovey teenage sh*t has disappeared after twilight ruined it and TOG and ACOTAR introduced Fae into my thirsty life. But this syn. has already got me hooked and damn do I want to read this sh*t now. Ok…continue the syn…

He wants nothing more than to sink his teeth into her flesh and turn her into what he was – a vampire. But he can’t. And she wants nothing more than to run away from this assignment. But she won’t.

Elizabeth Grant is a top-rated assassin at the Nocturnal Defense Society. When she get san assignment to protect Nikolai Dragulia – next in line to inherit the crown and rule over vampire society – she balks. Being a royal baby-sitter to a mysterious, brooding arrogant prince is not what she signed up for, but an assignment is an assignment, and she’s a professional. As Lizzie looks deeper into possible suspects and motives, she realizes this is more than just a baby-sitting job but something that, if not resolved, can affect the entire vampire race.

*Warning: This novel has highly sexual graphic content*

That warning comes with the description so beware.

But did anyone else already find this hot? Like am I the only one or did ya feel that electricity from the mysterious hottie who is after our main gurl?? No, just me? Ok Steph, calm your hormones…

Well as you can already tell I’m more than excited to read this book so looks like my list keeps updating but oh well. I’m a bookworm, what can I do? (Read) Yes, I supposed that’s what I could do…

Best thing yet, this steamy novel is free for ebook so get it while you can.🔥🔥

5. Just A Girl by Ellie Cahill

Just a Girl by [Cahill, Ellie]After getting kicked out of her own band – by her own boyfriend (that was italicized in the syn. but since the whole syn. is italicized I put it in bold for that sense of emphasize that the author wanted…das right, I gotchu boo😘) Presley Mason finds herself back in Wisconsin, helping her parents run their renowned music store. Instead of belting out powerhouse vocals to sold out crowds in L.A., she’s stocking shelves and inspecting rental violins. But the shop isn’t all bad: When she’s vacuuming up late one night, she bumps into the guitar teacher with the smoldering amber eyes and the killer tattoo. And that’s when things take an interesting turn.

Presley soon finds that Paul Kellerman is as good in bed as he is on guitar. So why isn’t he stoked to share his band, Jukebox Bleu, with her? Turns out Paul has crippling stage fright, which he’s been self-medicating without much success. But when Jukebox Bleu’s lead singer gets called for military service, the other members beg Presley to front them. Even though she swore never to mix men with music again (damn, sounds like a drink🍸), the temptation to perform is almost as intense as her chemistry with Paul. Now Presley must decide what’s more important: a second chance at love…or rock stardom.

I’ve read this book but I don’t remember finishing it. I think I got as far as the part where she agreed to replace the military guy while he was gone. And to be honest, I don’t remember them sleeping together…well if they did, it was definitely kept PG-13 (sadly😔) (down girl, keep them hormones in check!✔️).

As far as I read it was entertaining and a good read but I think I was in a book funk at the time which is why I couldn’t get into it. Which is why I think I didn’t finish reading it but I’m getting back on it soon. I’m too stubborn to leave it unfinished.

6. (I think…) Not The One by Amy Daws

Not The One (Lost in London Book 1) by [Daws, Amy]My name is Reyna Miracle. Even though a part of my name is Miracle, there’s nothing miraculous about me. My body portrays the tales of my life. Every feeling, every heartbreak, every emotion. Marked. Inked. Stained. A walking canvas of my messed up truth. But there’s one confession I can’t put in a tattoo. A confession that will kill me to tell, but my best friend died before I had the chance.

Now I’m left with him. The only one who can hold me in the night and squeeze that spot on my neck that feels like my lifeline between sanity and chaos. But we don’t work together. We’re absolute poison for each other. We’re stifling, suffocating, sickness of darkness. But I feel safe…because I’ve made an art of pushing people away. Now he’s pushing back…and making me believe…making me wonder…maybe, just maybe…I could be the one.

This is a spin-off to the London Lovers Series so you can read it as a stand-alone if you would like. I, on the other hand, am going to wait until I can purchase the London Lovers Series before I read this spin-off. This sounds like a complicated relationship but I’m curious and will stick my nose into their business so it’s on my list. (of course).

7. Smut by Karina Halle

Smut: A Standalone Romantic Comedy by [Halle, Karina]Smut is a stand-alone, tongue-in-cheek romantic comedy from the New York Times bestselling author of The Pact. Contains mature themes.

Really? That’s it?! No book description??!! Why, nook, must you give me minimal information?? Why??!! Uggghhh, I guess I have to do some research now…I’m so lazy, it’s not ok haha. I’ll do it for you guys so on to, The Adventure of  Steph Researching Crap She Doesn’t Want To Research: Ah HA!! I found it! And it only took me less than a minute…oh I’m the best (okay Celaena Sardothien, no one asked you, you can go now)

When I first met Blake Crawford, all I wanted to do was hit him in the face.
Maybe the groin.
Okay, maybe I wanted to kiss him too, but that’s neither here nor there. I mean, he may have a gorgeous English accent, sexy full lips and an ass I’d like to bite but…
Where was I?
Being in the same creative writing class, he’s the last person I wanted to speak to, let alone be paired up with for my final assignment.
But here comes the kicker…not only did our project end up getting us both A’s but we found out we work well together.
Really well together.
I hate him and he hates me and yet we churn out gold.
We’ve started writing self-published erotica under a pen name and let me tell you one thing…
Writing dirty sex scenes with the sexiest, most infuriating man you know is a lot harder than you think.
And keeping our hands off each other?
Well that’s another story…one with an ending I didn’t see coming.

Well this sounds sexy and I can’t wait to read it. Can you tell what my favorite genre is? No, not erotica but New Adult, cuz it has the perfect amount of romance and the perfect amount of smut mixed in. Perfect potion for Ms. Steph Rivers here. If you haven’t guessed already, there may be some adult content in this book so be warned. (may be, who am I kidding, of course there will be adult content. I mean, have ya read the description?)

That’s all the books for today’s blog! If you enjoyed give us a thumbs up and subscribe or follow or however this website works. I hope you all enjoyed and if not keep yo nasty comments to yourself. Good morning, and in case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!

Written by the oh so hormonal Steph aka CrownTheRivers

Hello my fellow bookworms!

What do you think about listening to music while reading? Do you guys do it? If so, what music do you listen too?  I pesronally always listen to music while reading. ALWAYS. If I am being honest it is a way of shutting the world out. My escape. Everything else doesn’t exist, its just me, my book, and my music. At times my dogs too, 🐾they’ll lay right by me🐾. When I read my ipod or phone is an essential and no its not for calls/text (but I will admit if the book is too good I will occasionally text my book buddy Steph aka CrownTheRivers cause when you got the feels you just can’t help it!!!). Its for music. I listen to pandora, 8track or a specific playlist I have created myself for reading on my ipod. It all depends on the mood of the book.

👑 I do have preferences. For fantasy books (all type) or books with kingdoms and royalties, I usually like to listen to indie/folk music or Instrumental (sometimes Rock too). The mood and the melody go perfect with the scenes in the book. I don’t know about you guys but when I listen to my songs and read its like watching a masterpiece. I’m the composer/director and I am watching the world in my book create itself vividly. I can’t live without it.

💜For Contemporary say it be Young Adult/New Adut/Adult I’ve noticed I listen to techno or upbeat music. For example Alan Walker or even Halsey. Its all in the tune. There are times I do mix some Indie music and alternative for Contemporary  but its mostly upbeat music. It has to match the mood of my book.

💣Thriller/Mystery anything by Audiomachine or Hans Zimmer is PERFECT! It catches the scenes perfectly. Its suspenful, creates tension. Its just art of perfection!😍

Let me know if you guys read and listen to music too! What type you into? I love listening to all types. Trust me! When it comes to music my ipod is very diverse. From different genres to tempos to even languages. I have all types so don’t hesitate to post! I would love to add more to my playlists!!. Thanx for reading. (^^)/

Till next time, Angie xx

Otay! So I’ve joined this amazing book website thing where you sign up for free and get discounted books from Amazon and Barnes & Noble and I believe iBooks too…I’m not sure and I’m too lazy to check so I’ll just put the link down below and y’all can check that out if ya like:

It’s legit and because of it, this post is being created (or has been created since you’re reading it when it’s all published and shizz) because I have a sh+t ton of ebooks. Like so many I can’t even count and I’m too lazy to begin with so let the point of this post finally begin and let’s discuss these wondrous ebooks.

First one on the LIST:

  1. A Perfect Ten by Linda Kage:

A Perfect Ten (Forbidden Men Book 5) by [Kage, Linda]Now this is like the 5th book of the series I believe…I don’t recall but I know forsure that I got this book for either $0.99 on bookbub or for free but I got it because the description really pulled me in. I was not aware that it was the 5th book of the series buuuuuuut it’s a stand-alone so it didn’t really ruin much. It’s basically about a girl who has a crush on her sexy asshole brother’s best friend (am I making sense, did I say correctly cuz that can be interpreted in such a wrong way that is gross)…her brother’s best friend who is a sexy asshole.

There ya go, much better.

Anyway she shows up to his room at the beginning of the book, trying to let loose and have him have sex with her by showing up in a skirt with no panites. Now it’s been a while since I’ve read this book so I can’t tell you if it worked out or not buuuuut I guess you’ll just have to read and find out *wink wink*

Let your hair down, Caroline, they said. It’ll be fun, they said. I know I’ve closed myself off in a major way over the past year, ever since “the incident” where I messed up my life completely. It’s past time I try to live again or just give up altogether. But this is quite possibly the craziest thing I’ve ever done. In a last ditch effort to invigorate myself, I’m standing outside Oren Tenning’s bedroom, I just peeled off the sexiest pair of underwear I own, and my hand is already raised to knock…(snippet of excerpt)

2. It Ain’t Me Babe by Tillie Cole:

It Ain't Me, Babe (Hades Hangmen Book 1) by [Cole, Tillie]Let me just say that this series isn’t for the faint hearted. This series just get more brutal as it progresses but at the same time it is beautiful. It is so hard to find the words to explain that book without spoiling anything so I’ll put the full synopsis of the story below but fair warning: This series does get graphic (especially the 3rd book) and the content is definitely not for the faint hearted and mature and I don’t mean just the sexual aspects (this is 18+) but mature as in the topic. I’m going to be honest (as if I wasn’t already), you will get annoyed at certain situations and sometimes even pissed off (which was me mostly in the 2nd book) but continue reading and do not put this down because every book ends with some light.

Sinning never felt so good…

A fortuitous encounter. A meeting that should never have happened.

Many years ago, two children from completely different worlds forged a connection, a fateful connection, an unbreakable bond that would change their lives forever…

Salome knows only one way to live- under Prophet David’s rule. In the commune she calls home, Salome knows nothing of life beyond her strict faith, nor of life beyond the Fence- the fence that cages her, keeps her trapped in an endless cycle of misery. A life she believes she is destined to always lead, until a horrific event sets her free. Fleeing the absolute safety of all she has ever known, Salome is thrust into the world outside, a frightening world full of uncertainty and sin: into the protective arms of a person she believed she would never see again.

River ‘Styx’ Nash knows one thing for certain in life- he was born and bred to wear a cut. raised in a turbulent world of sex, Harleys, and drugs, Styx unexpectedly had the heavy burden of the Hades Hangmen gavel thrust upon him, and all at the ripe old age of twenty-six – much to his rivals’ delight. Haunted by a crushing speech impediment, Styx quickly learns to deal with his haters. Powerful fists, an iron jaw and the skillful use of his treasured German blade has earned him a fearsome reputation as a man not to be messed with in the shadowy world of outlaw MC’s. A reputation that successfully keeps most people far, far away.

Styx has one rule in life- never let anyone get too close. It’s a plan that he has stuck to for years, that is, until a young woman is found injured on his lot…a woman who clearly does not belong in his world, yet a woman he feels reluctant to let go…

3. The Scribe (Irin Chronicles) by Elizabeth Hunter

The Scribe: Irin Chronicles Book One by [Hunter, Elizabeth]I normally wouldn’t read this type of book but when I read the description it just peaked my interest so I decided, “Why the hell now, it’s free and it won’t be for long.” So I ended up downloading it onto my nook and it’s been sitting for a while now haha opps. It’s on my list, doan worry, I’m getting there. But you know those moods you get in when you want to read a certain type of book so you only read that type of book for a while and by the time you’re looking for something else to read, you completely forget about that book? Yuuppp, that’s what happened with this one but it does seem interesting and I have a feeling I’m going to get hooked once I start but first I’ve got to finish reading my ARCs haha.

Hidden at the crossroads of the world an ancient race battles to protect humanity, even as it dies from within.

Ava Matheson came to Istanbul looking for answers, but the others came looking for her. A reckless warrior guards her steps, but will Malachi’s own past blind him to the truth of who Ava might be? While ancient forces gather around them, both Ava and Malachi search for answers.

Whispering voices. Deadly touch. their passion should be impossible… or it could be the only thing that will keep them alive.

Ok, forget what I said in the beginning, I must have read the bookbub description (which is different from the book description) and I must have not read that there was romance involved cuz this shizz seems really interesting now and I want to read it NOW but I can’t. I must resist temptation! Must finish ARC first! Well hey, now I have even more motivation to finish the ARCs sooner haha.

4. Promises (The Syrenka Series) by Amber Garr

Promises (The Syrenka Series Book 1) by [Garr, Amber]This is horrible of me but I totally forgot what this book is about so let’s get right to the synopsis:

Sometimes following your heart can end up destroying the ones you love. When seventeen-year-old Eviana Dumahl is faced with the responsibility of an arranged marriage and clan leadership, she is forced to choose between the life required of a mermaid and one of a teenage girl simply infatuated with the wrong guy.

Kain, her devoted finacé would make a wonderful husband except that she’s been in love with Brendan, a shape-shifting selkie, ever since they were kids. Choosing to abandon her family, her clan, and her life with Kain will have dire consequences far beyond anything she could have imagined. A war is brewing amongst the clans and Eviana unwittingly becomes a pawn in the intricate schemes of a twisted mastermind.

With Brendan’s life on the line, she has no choice but to involve those who she once considered friends. Amidst encountering senseless tragedies and immense loss, Eviana discovers that she is more valuable as a clan leader than anyone ever suspected. Her survival is not only dependent upon the loyalty of her friends, but also on her acceptance of a life that she had so adamantly tried to escape.

Promises is the first book of The Syrenka Series Trilogy following Eviana and her friends through the perils of growing up in a discrete world that inherently threatens human society.

Ok, so this sounds interesting although I’m not running to read it like I am with The Scribe or any SJM book. I can tell though that I will like this book. Has anyone read this book and if so what are your thoughts? If you haven’t read it what do you think so far based on the synopsis? Let me hear your thoughts!!…ok that sounds creepy, let me rad your thoughts instead…nope, still sounds creepy, whatever. Moving on!

5. Shh! (Oxley College Saga) by Stacey Nash

Shh! (Oxley College Saga Book 1) by [Nash, Stacey]Most of the books I will be introducing in this book haul, I will most likely forget what they are about, which I feel terrible about but hey, I’m a book worm and have plenty of books in line to read and that will never change. So this book I think I was about to read when I first got it but I was in a funk at the moment because I just finished reading The Deal by Elle Kennedy and I finished the series so I was more in the mood for that kind of book. I remember I was about to read it but I think I was looking through my bookbub email to find something that’s more similar to The Deal. Anyway, here’s the synopsis:

Nineteen-year-old Olivia Dean has the perfect reputation, the perfect boyfriend, and an increasingly perfect CV. She has it all, until Christian breaks up with her in public, calling her out as a self-gratifying ssexoholic: the kind that plays solo. But Olivia doesn’t masturbate all night – the only thing she does is sleep…right?

Now all the boys on campus seem to want her attention for the absolutely wrong reason – including resident hottie, Logan Hays. He’s pulling out his best moves to gain her attention, so resisting his sexy charm is hard work. With rapidly slipping grades, a disturbingly lurid reputation and demanding parents, Olivia must discover the truth behind her rumored sleeping problem. If she doesn’t the perfect life she’s worked so hard for may slip away, including the one person who has Olivia breaking all her rules – Logan.

What do you do when you’re asleep?

I have no idea why I didn’t read this. This sounds like a funny read, and now I can’t wait to read it haha. Just noticed as well that it’s free now in ebook form so get it while you can.

5. Magic of Thieves by C. Greenwood

Magic of Thieves (Legends of Dimmingwood Book 1) by [Greenwood, C.]I got this book thru bookbub because it said “Because you like Throne of Glass…” so I decided to get it. I was about to read is especially after finishing the series and ACOTAR as well buuuuuut it just didn’t seem to be a good replacement. I just felt like it wasn’t enough (maybe why I switched over to New Adult cuz I felt like no other fantasy could compare to SJM).

In a province where magic is forbidden and its possessors are murdered by the cruel Praetor, young Ilan, born with the powerful gift of her ancestors, has only one hope for survival. Concealment. In the shadow of Dimmingwood, she finds temporary protection with a band of forest brigands led by the infamous outlaw Rideon the Red Hand.

I’ll give this book a chance of course, I just think it might take me a while to start reading it. Has anyone read this book? Let me know what you think. This one is free as well.

6. Summer Sky (Blue Phoenix Novel) by Lisa Swallow

This book really captures my attention and I think I haven’t read it because of the long list of books I got from bookbub pushed this book to the far corner in my nook, so I totally forgot about it buuuuut her is a brief synopsis since the full one is pretty  freaking long:

Sky changed her life for a man once, and she has no intention of doing it again – even if he is a six-foot, tattooed rock god who makes a mean bacon sandwich.

I’ll provide the link to the book for B&N and Amazon that way you guys can check out the full synopsis. Annnd I just found out that it’s free for ebook so go and get your copy asap if you’re interested. Don’t know how long that’ll last so take it while you can.

7.The Kiss of Deception (The Remnant Chronicles Series) by Mary E. Pearson

The Kiss of Deception (The Remnant Chronicles Book 1) by [Pearson, Mary E.]I love this book sooooo much! It kind of reminded me of Throne of Glass but at the same time not. I think because of the kingdom and there was an assassin involved as well but other than that it was it’s own series. I really enjoyed the adventure and fantasy and I remember getting so mad at myself for reading it in the first place because when I was done, I went to purchase the second book immediately only to find out it wasn’t released yet. So I had to wait 2 excruciating months to read what happened next and I haven’t read the 2nd book once I got it because I want to wait for the 3rd one to come out first before I even touch it. I do highly recommend to read this book though!

In a society steeped in tradition, Princess Lia’s life follows a preordained course. As First Daughter, she is expected to have the revered gift of sight – but she doesn’t – and she knows her parents are perpetrating a sham when they arrange her marriage to secure an alliance with a neighboring kingdom – to a prince she has never met.

On the morning of her wedding, Lia flees to a distant village. She settles into a new life, hopeful when two mysterious and handsome strangers arrive – and unaware that one is the jilted prince and the other an assassin sent to kill her. Deception abounds, and Lia finds herself on the brink of unlocking perilous secrets – even as she finds herself falling in love.

I would start reading this book again but I can’t cuz of the many ARC I have in line, but the temptation! Ugh! The ebook is free on Barnes and Noble so get that in your nook asap!

Anyway, this post is so long already, I will cut it here but if you would all like to hear more about other books I got from BookBub just let me know. Even if you don’t answer, I most likely will still write another one anyway cuz I do what I want. Duh.

Hope you all enjoyed this post and if not then don’t be rude about it. Calladita se ve mas bonita! ^_^

Beware the goblin men and the wares they sell.

All her life, nineteen-year-old Liesl has heard tales of the beautiful, mysterious Goblin King. He is the Lord of Mischief, the Ruler Underground, and the muse around which her music is composed. Yet, as Liesl helps shoulder the burden of running her family’s inn, her dreams of composition and childish fancies about the Goblin King must be set aside in favor of more practical concerns.

But when her sister Käthe is taken by the goblins, Liesl journeys to their realm to rescue her sister and return her to the world above. The Goblin King agrees to let Käthe go—for a price. The life of a maiden must be given to the land, in accordance with the old laws. A life for a life, he says. Without sacrifice, nothing good can grow. Without death, there can be no rebirth. In exchange for her sister’s freedom, Liesl offers her hand in marriage to the Goblin King. He accepts.

Down in the Underground, Liesl discovers that the Goblin King still inspires her—musically, physically, emotionally. Yet even as her talent blossoms, Liesl’s life is slowly fading away, the price she paid for becoming the Goblin King’s bride. As the two of them grow closer, they must learn just what it is they are each willing to sacrifice: her life, her music, or the end of the world.

My Review:

The Wintersong you guys 😍 and my Heart💙💗. Readers will definitely fall for this new fairy-tale fantasy. I know FOR SURE they will fall for a particular character because it is gonna be hard not too. I already want one of him.

The world revolved around the story is artistic. Its is music and symphony and art and sacrifice and love. It is fantasy and family and wishes. Its a unique fairy tale. I honestly loved and enjoyed this read. The characters were different. As in it involved goblins and changelings and of course The Goblin King. The main character Elizabeth……she at times got irritating. I got mad at her a couple of times because they would tell her to be aware and then there you go she’d fall.  Like really!! They just told you!! but I don’t want to give much away and spoil you guys.

The bond between her siblings. Between her sister and her little brother, I actually loved that. I am a sucker when it comes to the bond between family and when those moments appeared it was just beautiful I felt for them.

The ROMANCE you guys. THE FRIKIN ROMANCE was just………I LOVED IT! It was and it wasn’t instalove because it took growth and trust from both parties and sacrifice. The way it left off. MY HEART. I need more!! I have theories about this book but I can’t share with you guys until YOU READ THIS BOOK!!!

Will be out soon! Feb. 7th SO GET YOUR COPY!!

{Readers who enjoyed ACOTAR by Sarah J. Maas would enjoy this baby except this guy is not Tamlin but..R…s ENJOY 😉 }

Till next time! (^^)/

Our Demons, Best Friends-Diana T. Scott

Title: Our Demons, Best Friends – Diana T. Scott

Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 stars

“Ava and Sebastian are two medical residents who in a perfect world, would really like each other. But both of them are closely watched by their demons. Their baggage is not light — Ava has hers carefully folded in vacuum bags to occupy as little room as possible; Sebastian wears his like a lead armor that makes him slouch sometimes. They like each other, but how are their demons going to get along?”

Ok, enough with the synopsis, here are my thoughts…

My heart!! That’s all I have to say is, my heart!! I have more to say but right now I’m speechless and my heart is getting major feels right now. This book gives me life!! The beginning just drew my heart in, not me, my heart, and although the ending of the prologue upset me, I craved more! I just couldn’t leave it, so I continued on this complicated journey and I’m so beyond happy that I did because this book just gave me the major feels.

I feel like I’m in love but there is nothing specific my heart is in love with…I think I’m in love with Sebastian, to be honest (I’m not the only one to fall in love with a character…yea, I’m talking about you, whoever you are!) because it felt like his feels were toward me. Ok, Stephanie, it’s getting weird…moving on!

I recommend you peeps to give this book a chance because it’s beautiful, the relationship they have and how it develops is just beautiful!!

Hey guys!

I have a surprise for my fellow Malediction Trilogy Fans! I have a cover reveal for the prequel in this series and A GIVEAWAY from the author. The title is “The Broken Ones” by Danielle L. Jensen. If you guys have never heard of this series here is a synopsis of the first book:

“Stolen Songbird”

—-The USA Today Bestselling debut from acclaimed author Danielle L. Jensen.—-

For five centuries, a witch’s curse has bound the trolls to their city beneath the ruins of Forsaken Mountain. Time enough for their dark and nefarious magic to fade from human memory and into myth. But a prophesy has been spoken of a union with the power to set the trolls free, and when Cécile de Troyes is kidnapped and taken beneath the mountain, she learns there is far more to the myth of the trolls than she could have imagined.

Cécile has only one thing on her mind after she is brought to Trollus: escape. Only the trolls are clever, fast, and inhumanly strong. She will have to bide her time, wait for the perfect opportunity.

But something unexpected happens while she’s waiting – she begins to fall for the enigmatic troll prince to whom she has been bonded and married. She begins to make friends. And she begins to see that she may be the only hope for the half-bloods – part troll, part human creatures who are slaves to the full-blooded trolls. There is a rebellion brewing. And her prince, Tristan, the future king, is its secret leader.

As Cécile becomes involved in the intricate political games of Trollus, she becomes more than a farmer’s daughter. She becomes a princess, the hope of a people, and a witch with magic powerful enough to change Trollus forever.

About the Author

DaniellView More: http://heatherpalmer.pass.us/danielle-jensene L. Jensen was born and raised in Calgary, Canada. At the insistence of the left side of her brain, she graduated from the University of Calgary with a bachelor’s degree in finance. But the right side of her brain has ever been mutinous, and it sent her back to school to complete an entirely impractical English literature degree at Mount Royal University. Much to her satisfaction, the right side shows no sign of relinquishing its domination.
